knitting: headband

This isn't really a pattern, but just something I made while teaching myself how to knit with circular needles. I used a 16-inch circular needle and this ended up the right size to hold my hair back.

1. Cast on a bunch of stitches to fill up the needle, but without making things too tight. I used at least 50, probably closer to 60.
2. Knit around 8 rounds, or until it has reached the desired width.
3. Bind off.

Since this was the first time I ever knit on circular needles, the headband has a lot of twists in it, which is not ideal --- but better technique would improve this and (I think) produce a headband which lies flat.
